I reached out to Jakes regarding a family holiday in South Africa, I am so glad I did. From the get go Jakes made it easy for me to plan the trip. We had a group of 7 adults (all our kids are in their 20's) flying in from 3 different locations. After confirming our accomodation in Joburg, we left it in Jakes hands. The accommodation for all 3 nights was terrific, and we were blown away by the special dinner arranged for us in Kruger. You cannot explain the feeling of sitting in the middle of a national park, with a beautifully set table, and a private dinner provided under the stars. Jakes and Simon our guides were so knowledgable, and exceptionally patient with our group. Making sure all our accommodations were acceptable, and our meals well planned, it was thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit for the car ride, providing binoculars, helping us take photos at just the right angles (lighting) and ensuring that 1 vegetarian was catered for that made our trip so amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, including making arrangements for my sister who only booked 2 weeks before our tour started! We immediately booked a second tour with Jakes and Simon to do Soweto and Apartheid Museum, which is a testament to how much we valued and trusted them and Amatungulu Tours. Thanks Again.
